Position Summary: The Administrative Assistant oversees the day-to-day functions of the company. The Administrative Assistant works with the Artistic/Executive Director to further the company's mission and vision and promote growth within the company.

Male & Female Dancers WANTED

Baltimore-based Deep Vision Dance Company (DVDC) seeks male and female dancers for their 2014-2015 performance season. Candidates must show advanced proficiency in modern dance as well as backgrounds in partnering, improvisation, and collaborative processes.

DVDC works as a collective. Dancers with skills in writing, administration, fundraising, visual design, and teaching are of high interest.

In addition to the year-round performance season, DVDC dancers perform in residencies, improvisation jams, and community events/workshops.

Rehearsals/Starting Date
Rehearsals are Mondays (6-10PM) and Sundays (4-8PM). Additional rehearsals scheduled with advanced notice. Rehearsals begin on Mondays in June. Light/flexible rehearsal schedule June - July. Full rehearsal schedule begins August 3rd.

DVDC offers competitive performance and rehearsal stipends for the Greater Baltimore Region. Organization also offers opportunities for professional development and leadership.

Director of Arts & Culture, City Manager's Office

STARTING SALARY: $55,478 TO $82,972 ANNUALLY DOQ (Dependent Upon Qualifications)


RESPONSIBILITIES: The City of Lawrence, Kansas is seeking to fill the position of Director of Arts and Culture. Lawrence has a population of approximately 90,000, provides a vibrant cultural scene, and is home to the University of Kansas and Haskell Indian Nations University. The Director of Arts and Culture will work with various arts and cultural institutions, organizations, creative businesses and individuals in Lawrence to enhance collaboration and collaborative activities. This position will report to the City Manager and provide staff support and administer the programs of the Lawrence Cultural Arts Commission. Key job duties include working with organizations to cooperatively market Lawrence to a regional and national audience regarding its arts and culture opportunities. Other responsibilities include facilitating the development of a Cultural Plan in order to establish goals related to non-profit arts and cultural organizations, individual artists and collectives, creative sector businesses and for-profit arts and culture businesses. The Director of Arts and Culture will also oversee the development and implementation of the vision for the Lawrence Cultural District. Other key job duties include developing, planning and coordinating events, developing partnerships and building relationships with artists, creative sector businesses, local universities, school districts, and state, federal, and private sector arts and other funding organizations.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in fine arts, arts management, business management, public administration or a related field.

Master's degree in Fine Arts, Arts Administration, Arts Management, or related field preferred. Two to five years of responsible experience in public art administration/management or related work which demonstrates skills necessary for the position, required.. The ideal candidate with have experience working with an arts/cultural organization. This position requires the ability to be innovative and communicate effectively both written and verbally. Must possess, or have the ability to obtain a valid driver's license. The successful candidate will also pass the background check, post-offer City physical and drug screen.

Vacation: 12 days per year (Plus 2 days Personal Leave)

Holidays: 9 days per year
