University Dance Company

The University Dance Company is a pre-professional performance ensemble, administered by the Department of Theatre & Dance. Every semester, faculty and visiting guest artists choreograph works that explore multiple styles of dance, the joy of movement, and performance as research.

Spring Dance Concert

April 5-7, 2024, Crafton-Preyer Theatre

This Spring students and choreographers examine the ideas of world-building, connection, and suspense through the artform. Ballet, contemporary, hip hop, and jazz provide uplift and stir creative souls in this repertoire concert and special guest KC Aerial Arts will have patrons on the edge of their seats.

Before the Broadway national tour begins, a local production of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, a Musical Thriller, will explore the psyche of the villain and bring the community Stephen Sondheim’s brilliant melodies with the help of KU Opera and Symphony Orchestra.
